Since they had family in town (from Ireland and the Czech Republic), Best Original Song winners and Once costars Hansard and Irglová had to be generous with their statues. ''Me ma was getting people to take photographs with it on Hollywood Boulevard today,'' said Hansard during the shoot at a friend’s house, where the couple were staying. ''Like those guys who are dressed up like Darth Vader and all.'' Irglová, meanwhile, recounted her second-chance Oscar speech: ''I didn’t know what was happening. I thought, Maybe I get to speak to the room while they’re playing the ads? Then I realized I was being televised. Thank God I managed to pull something together.''

Operating on just 30 minutes of sleep, Swinton was clearheaded enough to help direct a photo shoot in her suite at the Raffles L’Ermitage Beverly Hills. ''Don’t you think Oscar should be more…lounging around?'' she asked as she grabbed her statue off the nightstand and placed it beside her in bed. With the smell of Thai takeout permeating her room, Swinton giddily reflected on her victory lap the night before. After celebrating with her Michael Clayton costar George Clooney at the Sunset Tower Hotel, she headed to Prince’s house party. ''Stevie Wonder sang 'Superstition,' for God’s sake,'' she gushed. ''It was absolutely fantastic.''
