Slipstream features guns, drug use, Richard Nixon, and a Native American yet, amazingly, it wasn't made by Oliver Stone. It's the work of Stone veteran Anthony Hopkins; the Welsh acting wizard also stars as a screenwriter whose fictional and real worlds collide. His directing impresses, but his script is a confusing and uninteresting mess. EXTRAS A workmanlike making-of featurette, three deleted scenes including one that takes a jokey potshot at Stone's Alexander and a commentary in which Sir Anthony usefully explains just what his dreamlike film is all about.
