Another four bit the dust on Idol last night: Kady Malloy, the 18-year-old Texan who hit only about half the notes of Queen's ''Who Wants to Live Forever''; Luke Menard, the 29-year-old from Indiana who got corny with Wham!'s ''Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go''; Danny Noriega, the sassy 18-year-old from the L.A. area who kept it up-tempo with a sharp tongue and Soft Cell's ''Tainted Love''; and the throaty Asia'h Epperson, who, at only 19-years-old, tackled Whitney Houston's ''I Wanna Dance With Somebody.'' It may — as Ryan Seacrest likes to say — ''be the end of the road'' for them, but EW.com let them speak one last time.

KADY MALLOY, 18, HOUSTON, TEXAS

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What do you think went wrong with your performance last night?
KADY MALLOY:
I don't think I really did anything wrong. I just kind of did whatever I felt. You know, I guess it wasn't the popular vote. I stayed true to myself, and that's what important.

Simon kept dinging you about lack of personality and being robotic. I'm sure it's a hard thing to put your finger on, but what's your response to that?
I couldn't really understand, because throughout the whole thing he never really commented much on my voice, which I thought was the most important thing in a singing competition. So I thought that was kind of strange. The thing is, when I did ''Magic Man,'' I thought I showed off my personality, and I didn't get a good comment for that. No matter what I did, I kind of got dogged for it.

On blogs and everywhere else, you kind of ended up being the punching bag for people.
I feel like it, too. I do feel like I was a punching bag, but you know what? I just did my thing. Simon's comments...to me, Simon's just another guy. Yeah, he's a judge on the most popular TV show, but to me, anybody's opinion is just as important. You could take anybody off the sidewalk, and that's the person who buys records. Everybody has an equal say in music.

Your Britney Spears impression — how'd that develop?
When I was in seventh grade, I really loved Britney so much. I grew up on Britney. I actually weighed 145, I was kind of overweight, and I was really short. I was stumpy-looking, and I wanted to lose weight. So I put in this Britney live in Las Vegas concert video, and I would stand in front of the TV and do her dance moves and sing like her every single day. I actually lost a lot of weight doing that! It's kind of funny. Just doing that every day, I learned to dance like her. I had been playing around with her voice for a while, imitating her. She really made me want to perform a lot. She's just such a great entertainer. Wonderful.

Had you considered infusing some of that Britney sensibility into your performances?
I do feel like on ''Magic Man'' I tried to channel her hair thing that she does. Definitely I was thinking about her when I was doing that performance.

One of your favorite Idol moments was when Carrie Underwood sang ''Cryin'.'' But that's more country—would you ever go in that direction?
I could definitely do country. The thing with me is that I just love all music. Since my voice is so versatile, it's really hard for me to pick one thing.

But you want to develop an identity, right?
It's hard to make up my mind about it. I just like good music; it doesn't really matter what genre it is.

And how do you go about doing that?
I'm going to go out there and I'm going to be really aggressive about it and get something going, and I think I'll be able to. Yeah. People are supposed to, like, call in with offers and stuff, so I'll just wait. I'm going to keep singing. I've never had a back-up plan, and I never will. This is my life.
