(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Joe Mantegna, Eric Balfour (24, Six Feet Under), and Armand Assante (American Gangster) have been cast in and James Van Der Berk (Dawson's Creek) is in talks for the indie crime drama The Fifth Mafia. The story is about the son (Balfour) of a murdered mobster who seeks revenge on his corrupt uncle (Assante) for killing his parents. His vendetta puts him at odds with the FBI after he ruins the life of an agent (Van Der Berk). Mantegna will play the head of a crime family. Vito J. Giambalvo (Let Me Count the Ways) is directing.
