(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Kent Nichols and Douglas Sarine, creators of the Ask a Ninja Web series, are working on a remake of the 1978 horror-comedy cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, with Nichols set to make his directorial debut on the project. The duo is writing an adaptation of the original, which was about giant tomatoes that somehow came to life and ravaged humanity. No word as to whether significant changes are being made to the plot. The Ask a Ninja series has reportedly garnered some 80 million Web views. It also won the YouTube award for best series in 2006. (Hollywood Reporter)
