EPISODE: ''Water''
ORIGINAL AIR DATE: Jan. 14, 2005
SURVIVORS REMAINING: 47,958
PLOT SUMMARY: Boomer discovers, to her horror, that she might be responsible for setting the explosions that destroy much of Galactica's and, by extension, the Colonial fleet's water supply. (Remember, this Boomer doesn't know she's a Cylon on Caprica, a different ''Boomer'' model, who does know she's a Cylon, convinces Helo that she's the same girl who abandoned him on the radioactive surface.) While Baltar talks his way into creating a Cylon detection device, Galactica-Boomer finds a planetary water supply, and has to fight against her programming to notify the fleet of their salvation.
CRITIQUE: While the main water-woes plot was a little thin, the character embroidery around the edges Baltar dealing with visions of Six in his head (pictured middle), the thawing of the frosty relationship between Adama the Elder and President Roslin (pictured top), Helo and Boomer's foxhole attraction (pictured bottom) was more than enough to keep this episode afloat.
