Ghost Dog--The Album

EW's GRADE
B

Jim Jarmusch's new film Ghost Dog, your basic Zen mobster number, is full of dreamy wild style enhanced by RZA's ambient hip-hop score, here on Ghost Dog--The Album. Jarmusch is a music-sensitive filmmaker (to wit, the ultracool Neil Young guitar score for Dead Man), and RZA, founding member and producer of Wu Tang, was the right guy for this job. It's a sometimes edgy, sometimes ethereal melange of raps, loops, and attitude, with samurai philosophy tossed in. B
