TRUE CONFESSIONS: They're hot. They're sexy. They're celibate. But don't expect to see the Benedictine Monks of Santa Domingo de Silos in Spain hitting the road now that their Gregorian chant album, Chant, has reached Billboard's top 20. They leave the monastery only a few hours a year and have refused to give interviews. Across the Atlantic, however, the archdiocese of New York has taken interest in the album-and ordered copies for the church's higher powers. According to the archdiocese, John Cardinal O'Connor received the CD as a gift-though it may still be in cellophane. Says O'Connor's spokesman, "I don't think the cardinal has listened to it." Perhaps it's time for a little divine intervention.
