Rob Thomas Lands Another Pilot

(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas is developing an untitled drama pilot for ABC based on the New Zealand show Outrageous Fortune. The show is a dramedy about a matriarch of a family of criminals who decides the brood needs to fly straight after her husband gets a five-year prison sentence. Thomas will write and executive produce the pilot, his third this development season: ABC also picked up his comedy script, Cupid, and the CW tapped him to write a new spin-off based on the 1990s series Beverly Hills 90210.
