Aliens and Rainbows (2008)

Ferras' music has already invaded millions of living rooms, thanks to his sappy power ballad ''Hollywood's Not America'' showing up as the exit theme for some of this season's American Idol losers. The rest of the L.A. singer's debut on Aliens and Rainbows has only a bit more to offer: ''Liberation Day'' is a decently fun Beatles rip, and ''Blame Blame Blame'' packs antsy new-wave charm. Yet even Ferras' best tunes suffer from overly slick production, and his weak quack of a voice does them no favors. Don't hold your breath waiting for gold at the end of these Rainbows. C-
