Nick Cave, that doomsday prophet in a black three-piece suit, has always been obsessed with sex, death, and the Bible. But on Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!, his 14th album with the Bad Seeds, he turns those subjects into ''sacrilicious'' comedy gold. For example, on the title track, Jesus resurrects Lazarus, only to have poor, ticked-off ''Larry'' walking around New York complaining that he never asked to be raised from the dead. Cave spits out his woebegone lyrics as if he were a Holy Ghost-filled preaching machine leading the world's funkiest revival meeting. A-
