(FROM VARIETY) – Olivia Williams (X-Men: The Last Stand) has joined the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon's upcoming Fox drama Dollhouse, about a group of young adults who are programmed with ''personality packages'' before being dispatched on assignments. Williams will play the woman in charge of the venue (called "The Dollhouse'') where drones are programmed to perform various missions in the real world. Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) stars as Echo, one of the ''dolls'' who starts to become self aware. Also cast are Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica), who will play an FBI agent, Fran Kranz (Welcome to the Captain), who plays a programmer in charge of imprinting the dolls, and Australian actress Dichen Lachman and Enver Gjokaj (a guest star on The Unit), who will both play dolls. The show has a seven-episode order from Fox. (Variety)
