(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Shia LaBeouf is starring in Universal's thriller The Dark Fields, which is being directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist). The story, based on Alan Glynn’s 2002 novel, is about a loser (LaBeouf) who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical smart pill but soon discovers that it has lethal and lasting side effects. The project is said to be in the vein of Fight Club and The Game. LaBeouf next will be seen in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Eagle Eye. He is currently shooting a segment of the anthology film New York, I Love You written by the late Anthony Minghella. (Hollywood Reporter)
