If it had stuck more to the legend, lore, and science of its subject, The Mystery of the Full Moon, an eclectic British film, would be a novel and entertaining documentary. Instead, it lapses into gag graphics and silly re- creations of crimes that may be moon inspired. The real stuff still makes it worth watching for students of lunar arcana. C+
