We scoured the tropics and pulled out our compasses okay, we just picked up the phone to track down a hidden treasure named Deidre Goodwin, the Broadway actress who recently appeared as raunchy stick dancer Deborah (that's de-BORE-ah) in 30 Rock's notorious reality TV spoof MILF Island.
WHERE YOU'VE SEEN HER
Goodwin is currently starring in Broadway's revival of A Chorus Line.
She's also danced on screen in Chicago and waxed serious in films such
as Half Nelson and Across the Universe. ''I often get called for roles
like 'tough cop' and 'mean girl.' It must be how I look. I'm happy I got
to do 30 Rock and be silly that's more my personality.''
WHERE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN HER
''There was so much they didn't really show [on 30 Rock]. I had to climb
a rope, holding on with one arm and picking a banana with the other. I
came home and washed sand and bananas out of my hair.''
WHERE YOU MIGHT SEE HER AGAIN
NBC says it has no plans to bring back Deborah but given that Liz Lemon
was tasked with writing her MILF Island spin-off, Goodwin couldn't help
but offer a few ideas: ''It would be funny if she did serious
interviews but always half-naked. Or she's in a tub and guests get in
with her. And you know how Jack mentioned Deborah singing? I hope they'd
have me sing badly. Like, just bad.''
