11:15 p.m. We return to the Cinerama Dome where the usher says, ''Oh, you guys again.'' We have missed introducing the film, much to the chagrin of the crowd. This is our last stop of the evening. Crowd enjoys the penis again. We stay until we're deep in the Hawaii section of the film. Rodney tells us that he wants to leave the movie. Apparently, he doesn't want to see the film for a 765th time. Not exactly a team player.
12:30 a.m. We arrive at the Sunset Tower Hotel for a Hollywood party celebrating the birthday of the excellent British director and actual filmmaker Edgar Wright. He has not invited us to this party. We enter the party and are surrounded by Hollywood luminaries. We are finally Hollywood luminaries as well, we think to ourselves. Then nobody mentions Forgetting Sarah Marshall or the fact that it has opened this weekend. A few times we say, ''I wonder what movies have opened this weekend.'' ''I think that martial arts movie,'' someone says. Another person says, ''I can't wait for Iron Man.'' We finally mention that Forgetting Sarah Marshall has opened, to blank stares and awkward pauses. We debate whether we should make an announcement at the party that our film opened this evening. Then we are too drunk and forget to do this. This is, in retrospect, a good thing. Jason in particular gets quite drunk and apologizes for what he did. You know who you are.
1:30 a.m. We take the stretch limo home. Our work has been done. What this work was is not exactly clear. We wait for the Friday numbers to come in, sure that it'll be in the $300 million to $400 million range. We plan to do this every night for the entire run of our film. We are pretty sure that it'll run for 87 more weeks.
