(FROM VARIETY) - Nick Lachey has been tapped to host ABC's upcoming reality show High School Musical: Summer Session, a spinoff of Disney's High School Musical movies, set to premiere this July. The show will follow a group of singers and dancers as they participate in a music workshop and compete for a prize. Lachey, whose third solo album releases later this year, competed in (and wound up the winner of) NBC's holiday competition show Clash of the Choirs, and also recently appeared, along with Alicia Keys, in MTV's Fresh Takes.
