Liz Friedlander Directing Tom Wolfe Novel Adaptation

(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Director Liz Friedlander (Take the Lead is on board to direct a movie adaptation of Tom Wolfe's 2005 novel I Am Charlotte Simmons. It is the first novel the author has optioned for a movie since 1987's The Bonfire of the Vanities. The story is about an innocent country girl navigating her way through freshman year at a fictional university. Friedlander is best known for her work on music videos, having worked with Kelly Clarkson, U2, R.E.M., and Blink 182. (Hollywood Reporter)
