(FROM VARIETY) – Showtime has ordered a seven-episode second season of Tracey Ullman's State of the Union. The lampooning sketch comedy series, which will return some time next year, joins a growing number of comedies on the pay network's slate, including a new series from U.K. comedian Marc Wootton, and comedy pilots starring Toni Collette and Edie Falco that are both expected to get series orders soon. The network is also home to successful comedy series Weeds and the dramedy Californicatoin. (Variety)
