(FROM VARIETY) Rapper Common has been added to the cast of Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. Christian Bale and Australian actor Sam Worthington have already come aboard the fourth installment of the Terminator franchise, which is being directed by McG (Charlie's Angels).
The story is set in the not-too-distant future, where a grown John Connor (Bale) leads humans in their war against the machines. Common will play one of Connor's closest aides. The entertainer, best known as a Grammy-nominated rapper, recently appeared in American Gangster and Street Kings, and has a part in the action flick Wanted later this summer. Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is due to be released on May 22, 2009. (Variety)
