(FROM VARIETY) Production of ABC's Ugly Betty, which is set in New York City but for two seasons has filmed in Los Angeles, may be headed to the Big Apple next season. The reason behind the potential move: The show could take advantage of tax credits recently enacted by New York governor David Paterson and thus save the network more money. Should the location change, about 100 L.A.-based Ugly Betty staffers would be out of work, though the show's writers could stay in California (mirroring the setup of Lost, which is filmed in Hawaii but whose writers work in Los Angeles).
