(FROM VARIETY) – Craig Ferguson has cut a deal with HarperCollins to write his memoirs, which will follow his journey from a small town in Scotland to his spot behind the desk on late-night talkshow Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. He will also discuss his battles with drugs and alcohol. The memoir, American on Purpose, is set to publish in fall 2009. Last month, a week of original Late Late Show episodes beat Late Night With Conan O'Brien among total viewers for the first time ever. (Variety)
