(FROM THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) Actor Isaiah Washington, who played Dr. Preston Burke on Grey's Anatomy for three seasons before he was fired from the show last year, has filed a complaint with the Screen Actors Guild, claiming a recent episode of the ABC hit used his image without permission.
In the episode, Washington's character was featured in a newspaper article complete with a photo announcing that he'd won a surgeon's award. Washington alleges that Grey's producers did not get his permission to run a picture of him. ''They have the rights of the character to advance the story, but not the image,'' Washington's publicist, Howard Bragman, told the Hollywood Reporter, adding that he expects a ''financial settlement.''
A lawyer for Washington, who is currently filming the movie Patriots in New Orleans, had no comment, nor did representatives for ABC. (The Hollywood Reporter)
