(FROM VARIETY) Oscar-nominated Juno director Jason Reitman will write and direct the big-screen adaptation of the Walter Kirn novel Up in the Air. The story follows a constantly traveling human resources exec who, his life otherwise falling apart, attempts to notch his millionth frequent flyer mile. Reitman had been working on a spec version of the script before getting involved with Juno, and is now turning his attention back to it. Other projects on Reitman's plate: producing the cheerleader comedy-thriller Jennifer's Body (written by Diablo Cody) and directing Pierre Pierre (starring Jim Carrey). (Variety)
