(FROM VARIETY) — Dylan McDermott and Scott Caan will costar in Mercy, an independent romance on which Caan is also a producer. The screenplay, written by Caan, is about a cynical novelist who doesn't believe in love until he finds himself smitten for the first time. Patrick Hoelck is directing a cast that also includes Erika Christensen and Troy Garity. Production starts Monday in L.A. (Variety)
