(FROM VARIETY) Danny Glover has signed on to star in a movie adaptation of Master Harold...and the Boys, Athol Fugard's controversial apartheid-era play. The actor previously appeared in two separate Broadway productions of the drama during its original run from 1982 to 1983 and in a 2003 revival. Lonny Price, who acted in the former and directed the latter, will helm the feature film, which concerns the relationship between a 17-year-old and his two African servants. The title role will be played by Thomas Sangster, who appeared in Love, Actually and stars at Tintin in Steven Spielberg's upcoming film. Production will begin in July in South Africa. (Variety)
