JONAS BROTHERS
A LITTLE BIT LONGER

To say 2007 was busy for the Jonas Brothers is an understatement. The three bubblegum-pop-rocking siblings from New Jersey — Kevin, 20; Joe, 18; and Nick, 15 — dropped their platinum-selling self-titled second album, opened for a certain circus extravaganza called the Miley Cyrus tour, headlined their own jaunt, and shot a reality show and a movie for the Disney Channel. So how did they find the time to make A Little Bit Longer? ''We lived our music,'' Kevin says. ''We'd record this album [on our bus], then go play a show.'' The outcome adds up to, declares Joe, ''Jonas Brothers, one year older.'' (Scheduled release: Aug. 12)

TRACK BY TRACK

''Burning Up''
The album's heavily percussive first single was inspired by some hot weather and their unlikely appreciation for the work of babe magnet Prince. ''It's about this girl — maybe she's at a party — and you feel that immediate connection,'' says Nick. ''You both know it's there.''

''Little Bit Longer''
Nick takes lead vocals on the soft, piano-tickled title track, a ''John Lennon-influenced'' ballad about his struggle with diabetes. ''I was having one of those days where I was discouraged,'' he says. ''So I went into this hotel's empty ballroom by myself and wrote this song.''

''BB Good''
''The chorus goes, 'You're gonna be, be good to me/'Cause I'm gonna be, be good to you,''' says Kevin of the dance track artfully crafted to make the girls go wild. ''It's a big sing-along song. And it's fun.''
