INGRID MICHAELSON
The Grey's Anatomy-approved chanteuse is headlining her first tour in June and July. Michaelson will also be bringing her gentle folk-pop to the Mile High Music Festival in Commerce City, Col. (July 19-20), Bumbershoot in Seattle (Aug. 30-Sept. 1), and Austin City Limits (Sept. 26-28).
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: How do you intend to make your first headlining tour more...headline-y than your previous shows?
INGRID MICHAELSON: Well, in the past it's been just my guitarist and a backup singer. But I'm gonna bring along my bass player and he plays percussion and looping and sings, so that's kind of a step up. And, as always, I really like to involve the audience and make it interactive have them learn parts and sing with me.
Favorite tour-bus activity: Scrabulous or sex?
Probably Scrabulous. I've been lucky enough to piggyback on tour buses when I'm opening for someone, but we're usually in a van.
