EXPECTING
Singer Clay Aiken, 29, will reportedly become a dad in August after
artificially inseminating his music producer, Jaymes Foster. Aiken's
reps wouldn't comment on the reports.... Newlyweds Ashlee Simpson-Wentz,
23, and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, 29, announced on May 28 that
they do indeed have a little rocker on the way. ''We wanted to wait until
after the first trimester to...confirm that we are expecting our first
child,'' they wrote on their blog.
BIRTHS
Hanson multi-instrumentalist Zac Hanson, 22, and wife Kate, 24, became
first-time parents on May 27, when their son, Shepherd, arrived. For
those keeping track, this brings the Hanson-brother baby count to
five.... It's another boy for Jack Black (Kung Fu Panda), 38, and his
wife, musician Tanya Haden, 36. The couple already have a 2-year-old son.
MARRIED
Charlie Sheen, 42, wed real estate investor Brooke Mueller, 30, in L.A.
on May 30. This is the third marriage for Sheen, who is still involved
in a bitter war of words with ex-wife, actress Denise Richards, 37.
SPLIT
Jennifer Butler Murray, 42, filed for divorce from Bill Murray, 57, on
May 12 in Charleston, S.C. She alleges that the actor committed
adultery, physically abused her, and is addicted to marijuana and
alcohol. The couple, who wed in 1997, have four sons. ''We cannot comment
on the facts of the case,'' said his lawyer, adding, ''Bill is deeply
saddened by the breakup.''
COURTS
Tatum O'Neal, 44, was arrested on June 1 in NYC after cops spotted her
allegedly buying cocaine. The Rescue Me star, who's battled substance
abuse, faces misdemeanor drug charges. ''Just when I was about to...wreck
my life, the cops came and saved me!'' she told the New York Post. O'Neal
is due back in court on July 28.... Jack Jordan, 37, who was convicted
last month in NYC of stalking actress Uma Thurman, 38, was sentenced on
June 2 to three years' probation.
RECOVERING
Kelsey Grammer, 53, was hospitalized in Hawaii after suffering a mild
heart attack on May 31. The actor is recovering well, says his rep.
DEATH
Fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent, 71, died of undisclosed causes, June 1,
in Paris. Saint Laurent dressed numerous celebs for the
big-screen including Catherine Deneuve, who wore his creations in 1967's
Belle de Jour and for the red carpet. ''He was a master at designing for
the female form and he defined an era,'' said Nicole Kidman in a
statement. with additional reporting by Stewart Allen
LEGACY
HARVEY KORMAN (1927 -- 2008)
You could count on Korman to crack up halfway through any Carol Burnett Show sketch. And once he did, the show's four-time Emmy winner, who died May 29 from complications after a ruptured aortic aneurysm, brought everyone especially us at home down with him. ''It was dangerous working with him, because if our eyes met we'd be finished,'' recalls his director and friend, Mel Brooks (above, with Korman in 1974's Blazing Saddles). ''Harvey was terrible.''
