(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Dennis Hopper has signed on to a starring role in Starz's upcoming series Crash, based on the Oscar-winning movie of the same name. The 13-episode series, from Lionsgate, will feature different characters than the film. Hopper will play Ben, a maverick music producer looking for his last big score. He joins a cast that also includes Clare Carey (Jericho), who will play Christine, a frustrated mom who is married to a successful pre-bust real estate developer; Luis Chavez, who will play Cesar, a poor immigrant who embarks on a brutal journey to America; Arlene Tur, who plays a former actress who became an LAPD officer after researching a role and falling in love with police work; Ross McCall, who'll play a cop more interested in joyriding than paperwork; Brian Tee, who portrays a Korean-American immigrant who became an EMT; and Jocko Sims, who plays Hopper's driver.
