Fox Acquires Rights to 'Little Mosque'

(FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Fox has acquired rights to the popular Canadian comedy series Little Mosque on the Prarie, which is about a Muslim family living in a small prairie town. The show has attracted interest from the U.S. TV industry since it debuted on Canada's CBC in January 2007, but the writers' strike interrupted talks for an earlier deal. The show has already been sold internationally, including to Canal Plus in France. Fox has not yet set a writer for a U.S. version. (Hollywood Reporter)
