Too busy to read? No problem. Just drop this newly released audiocassette into the player and let someone else do the reading for you. You don't even have to take your hands off the steering wheel to turn the pages.

This seems to be the season for white people to lament their race's ravaging of the land and its Native American population. Reading in a voice that makes him sound like Linus Van Pelt, Ian Frazier keeps his travelogue, Great Plains, from getting too self-righteous as it wanders from side trip to side trip, touching on lots of Indian lore. Call this Meanders With Wolves. B
