(FROM THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) – Sarah Jessica Parker is in talks to star in Warner Bros.' The Ivy Chronicles, according to THR. She would play Ivy, a single woman in contemporary New York who loses her high-powered job, gets divorced, moves from her swank Upper East Side apartment to a less ritzy downtown flat, and starts a business to help upper-middle-class women get their children into elite kindergartens. The story is based on a novel by Karen Quinn. Earlier this summer, Parker helped Warner Bros. pull in more than $300 million with the Sex and the City movie. Parker's other recent film projects include Smart People, which also opened earlier this year but only grossed $10 million, and 2006's Failure to Launch, which earned almost $90 million in the U.S. The actress also signed on to do the romantic comedy The Late Bloomer's Revolution for HBO Films and Picturehouse, but the status of that project is unknown now that Picturehouse has been dissolved.
