(FROM AP) - NBC has settled a $105 million lawsuit over its controversial Dateline NBC: To Catch a Predator series brought by a woman who claims the show led her brother to commit suicide. Predator sets up sting operations in which people pretending to be underaged children establish online chats with adult men and and lure them to a house, where they are met by TV cameras and police. Patricia Conradt's lawsuit claimed her brother, a suburban Dallas prosecutor, fatally shot himself after he was accused of taking part in a sexually explicit chat with an adult posing as a 13-year-old boy. The suit claims NBC ''steamrolled'' police into arresting her brother after he failed to show up at the meeting place. A federal judge previously issued a ruling in the case, saying a jury might conclude the network ''crossed the line from responsible journalism to irresponsible and reckless intrusion into law enforcement.'' New episodes of Predator ended in December, and its future is uncertain. (AP via Yahoo!)
