MAMBO KING: Andy Garcia on drums? The Cuban-born actor lets his love of ''Babalu'' out of the bag in his directorial debut, the documentary Cachao, about influential Cuban musician Israel ''Cachao'' Lopez. ''I want this to reach the youth, those who can carry the music's tradition into newer generations,'' says Garcia, who premiered the film recently at the Miami Film Festival. Shot during a Cachao concert last summer, the film also features Garcia singing backup and a cameo appearance by a dancing Robert Duvall. ''He's a friend, and he heard about the concert and showed up to hang,'' Garcia says. ''No one was immune from the camera that day.''
