(FROM VARIETY) Josh Hartnett is making his debut on the London stage later this summer in a new theatrical adaptation of Rain Man, the 1988 Academy Award winner for Best Picture. Hartnett will fill Tom Cruise's shoes as a cocky exotic-car dealer who goes on a cross-country road trip with the autistic older brother he never knew he had. British actor Adam Godley will appear in the title role, which Dustin Hoffman originated on screen. The plot of the stage version will remain generally the same, though it'll be updated to the present day. Rain Man is due to run from Aug. 28 to Dec. 20 at the Apollo Theatre on London's West End.
