In The Spiderwick Chronicles, the grown-ups (Joan Plowright, Mary-Louise Parker, David Strathairn) are stellar, but Highmore steals this fantasy as twin brothers battling an eruption of icky goblins. ''It's all true!'' insists director Mark Waters in a doc on the two-disc edition...but the only believable item here is the actor's spot-on American accent. C+
