(FROM PEOPLE) – In a statement released to People, Madonna denies that she is having an affair with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and says that she is not divorcing her husband, British director Guy Ritchie.''My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce,'' Madonna says in the statement. ''I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.'' A-Rod's wife Cynthia is quoted in a number of media reports as saying that her husband's affair with Madonna played a part in her decision to divorce him. Cynthia is expected to file for divorce on Monday (July 7) in Miami-Dade County Family Court. (People.com)
