No one should be all shook up to learn that Elvis Presley has a new title: The King of Rock & Roll is now the Duke of URL. Dead 20 years as of Aug. 16, the singer is the star of 232 sites, according to Infoseek Web directory. That's 17 more than the Beatles — and there were four of them.

Impostors should ponder the cautionary thought provided by the designers of The Elvis Seance (sunsite.unc.edu/elvis/ seance.html): ''Please treat this information the same as you would if he were alive, and you had his E-mail address — with respect.'' Elvis may have left the building, but his ghost lives on in the machine. B+
