(FROM THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER) - During its summer press tour presentation on Tuesday (July 15), FX announced that its drama series Nip/Tuck will end its run in 2011. The network has ordered an additional 19 episodes on top of the current 22-episode fifth season and will end the show in 2011 after airing a total of 100 episodes. Fourteen shows have already aired this season, with the other eight set to premiere in January. FX president/GM John Landgraf said it's unlikely that any FX drama will ever run beyond 100 episodes because serialized dramas have different storytelling model than nonserialized shows like Law & Order or CSI.

FX also announced that it has ordered 13 episodes of a new scripted comedy series, Testees, which will debut at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 9 after It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The show is about two friends in their early 30s who earn a living as medical guinea pigs.

Sunny has been given three more 13-episode seasons, beyond the 13 in production for the show's upcoming fourth season, which debuts at 10 p.m. Sept. 18. All of the producers and stars are signed on for all of the episodes.

It was also revealed that Ted Danson will reprise his role as Arthur Frobisher for several episodes of the legal drama series Damages, though it's unclear whether his character survived a shooting in the first-season finale or will appear in flashbacks. And finally, no decision has been made on a third season of The Riches. (Hollywood Reporter)
