ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: It's too bad that a challenge with real fabric would be the one to get you auf-ed, especially when you handled the Gristedes challenge so well.
WESLEY NAULT: It's awful. I think when I realized that I wasn't going to have control over the fabric selection, I just got nervous because I like to have that control. Or even when you're working with a client and they want it in a certain fabric, you can kind of guide them in a certain direction. But with this, you had no say whatsoever. It's like the worst Christmas present ever that you get, and you have to wear it.

You're one of the youngest designers this season. Do you think that helped you or hurt you?
I don't think it hurt me, really. I've got a lot of experience, so maybe the fitting — I wish I had more time for fitting. Maybe I could be more experienced in that sense. But I don't think it hurt me really. I look at the people who are older on the show, and they're definitely talented, but I question, if they haven't made it already, then.... And I'm young, and I'm here. Obviously I'm here for a reason. If I'm competing with them, I'm just as good as them.

Oh, yeah? Was there anyone that made you wonder, ''Why are you here?''
Maybe there would have been a few people that I questioned. I'm not going to call anyone out for that.

It seems this season Tim's been especially hard on you guys.
He has, actually. I don't know if it's because it's the last season on Bravo, or what the deal is, but he's been really tough on us. We also have big shoes to follow after the last season having Christian. He's been hard on everybody.

Was there anyone you really got along with?
Because I left so early, I didn't get to develop a lot of relationships with a lot of the cast members. However, Daniel and I got along very well, and I was sad to leave him. I was very disappointed. I wish I would have gotten to know everyone a little bit more while I was on the show, but I was always just focusing on my work while we were in the workroom. But in the end, I ended up making some really good friends from the show afterwards, like Jennifer and Emily I really get along with, as well as Stella.

Who do you think is going to win the whole thing?
I would love to see Daniel take the whole thing. He's my favorite. As a designer, I love his aesthetic. Based on aesthetic, I think he should win. But also I'm a little biased.

What's next for you?
Well, Daniel and I are talking about starting a line together. But it's still very early on, so we're not sure exactly what we're going to do yet, or how we're going to go about it.
