If you were an asthmatic Jewish kid in North London and your bar mitzvah was scheduled for the day England played West Germany in the World Cup final in 1966, you might grow up believing you have a comic, if exceedingly slender, autobiographical movie like Sixty Six in you too. But unless you're a well-connected ad director like Paul Weiland with friends like Richard Curtis to co-write the treatment, it's unlikely you'd get Helena Bonham Carter to play your Jewish mother, or Stephen Rea as your soulful asthma doctor.
