Near-future authoritarian forces use Jones' pop star to keep the masses down in the '60s Brit curio Privilege. The movie was stylistically influenced by both the rather engrossing 1962 Paul Anka documentary Lonely Boy which is included among the EXTRAS and the infamous 1935 Nazi propaganda film Triumph of the Will. But Privilege is a lot more tedious than that makes it sound. More interesting is press-wary director Peter Watkins' self-interview in the accompanying booklet, during which he appears to become a tad irked by his own questions. C+
