A pleasant if far-fetched children's book adaptation, Nim's Island lets Foster flex her comedy muscles for the first time since, what, Maverick? Freaky Friday? If you get bored by all the cross-cutting between Breslin on her island, agoraphobic author Foster coming to her rescue, and Gerard Butler at sea, flip the audio to the adorable commentary track with the two female stars it's like a pajama party hosted by the Academy.
