After Buddy Holly's death in 1959, his backup band, The Crickets, continued to perform together. But, again, this music isn't quite worth an entire CD. The Liberty Years follows the Crickets' early-'60s work along Holly's path of wholesome, well-crafted pop — only without his ingenuity or vivacious charisma. C
