NATASCHA MCELHONE AND DAVID DUCHOVNY
Mark Seliger

10-10:30PM · SHOWTIME · Returns Sept. 28

When last we saw Hank Moody (David Duchovny), he'd finally put his family back together, absconding with true love Karen (Natascha McElhone) and their daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin) from Karen's wedding to another man. Happy ending? Hardly. Duchovny says the question for season 2 becomes ''What do you do once you get what you want?'' (Duchovny's recent entry into rehab for a sex addiction will not affect production, which has wrapped.) Hank manages to find a characteristically debauched way to screw things up: The first episode finds our antihero ''accidentally'' performing cunnilingus on another woman. As though you needed more indication that this show's twisted heart persists, Hank's agent, Charlie (Evan Handler), will lose his job, then ditch his cocaine-addicted wife (Pamela Adlon) to shack up with a porn actress and produce an adult film. God bless pay cable!
