9-10PM · ABC · Returns Sept. 28
The season finale shook everyone up by fast-forwarding the show five years. So what's life like on Wisteria Lane in the future? Well, Katherine (Dana Delany) is still a resident, and Edie (Nicollette Sheridan) arrives back on the block, toting her paramour, played by veteran bad-dude Neil McDonough (Walking Tall). He's not just a love interest, of course, he's a ''guy who moves onto the street for revenge,'' says creator Marc Cherry. Mother-of-two Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker) has seriously deglammed and ''basically turned into Lynette in the first season'' (the proof is in the picture on the right). Oh, and don't worry, we'll find out what split up Mike (James Denton) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) in the first episode Cherry hints it has to do with a ''tragic incident.'' You mean, more tragic than Gaby in wash-'n'-wear?
