Mary Tyler Moore will guest-star as Brooke Shields' mother in an arc beginning with the season 2 premiere. Shields says their conflict involves ''her philosophy on how you approach your professional life, [which] is very different than the way I'm trying to live my life.'' Also, exec producer Oliver Goldstick says Victory (Lindsay Price) will be ''opening a flagship store in a difficult economic climate.... Rosie Perez plays her publicist.'' And Goldstick promises that we'll see how the three buds — Shields, Price, and Kim Raver — ''became friends, through a flashback, [how] a crisis in the past solidified their trio.''
