DAVID ALAN GRIER
Ian White

10:30-11PM · COMEDY CENTRAL · Debuts Oct. 15

CONCEPT The comedian returns to his In Living Color roots for this new sketch-comedy show that parodies African-American-centric news shows (think Tavis Smiley or Tony Brown's Journal if, as Grier says, they ''had a sense of humor'').

THE SCOOP ''People [have] watched me do so much crappy s--- for a variety of reasons,'' says Grier of his work in recent years, which includes films like Little Man and Bewitched. On Chocolate News, he plays a variety of recurring characters, including a porn star named Licorice Stick. ''This is the first time in a long time where I was like, 'I stand by this 100 percent. It is funny s---.'''
