Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert - The 3-D Movie (2008)

If you saw Hannah in theaters, the roar of hundreds of girls won't be the only knockout effect missing at home with Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert — The 3-D Movie. Modern cinematic 3-D doesn't translate to most TVs, so both the DVD and Blu-ray editions provide four pairs of old-school, colored, cardboard specs — and the headache that comes with 'em. But Hannah looks exceptional even in the 2-D version that's also included on the disc. As for the music...you wouldn't call it multidimensional, but it's got more muscle than girliness: The Blondie-esque ''Start All Over,'' which announces the star's phoenix-like rebirth from Hannah to Miley, is one of the best rock songs in years. Extras include ''S.O.S.,'' an outtake from guests the Jonas Brothers, which may ramp the hysteria back to near-theatrical levels in your living room. B+
